Youth Development Committee

In recognition of the International Day of the Girl Child, which occurs annually on 11 October, Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah, President and UN Committee Chair of PPSEAWA Thailand and Zonta International UN Committee Member, in collaboration with the Department of Children and Youth, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, organized a project titled “Understanding and Creating Digital Media.” The target group for this project was 100 girls aged 8-14 from the Rajvithi Home for Girls. The objective was to provide knowledge to young women about the dangers of the internet and promote safe online practices, especially given the increasing presence of the internet in our daily lives.

A speaker from the Internet Foundation for the Development of Thailand was invited to conduct the training. Following the training, a noodle lunch was provided to a total of 310 children.

เนื่องด้วยในวันที่ 11 ตุลาคม ของทุกปี องค์การสหประชาชาติได้กำหนดให้เป็น วันเด็กหญิงสากล (International Day of the Girl Child) นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ นายกสมาคม สปอท.และประธานฝ่ายกรรมการสมาคมประจำองค์การสหประชาชาติ สมาคมสตรีภาคพื้นแปซิฟิกฯ และ Zonta International UN Committee Member ร่วมกับกรมกิจการเด็กและเยาวชน กระทรวงพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ จัดทำโครงการ “รู้เท่าทัน สร้างสรรค์สื่อ ในยุคดิจิทัล” โดยมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นเด็กหญิงที่สถานสงเคราะห์เด็กหญิงบ้านราชวิถี อายุระหว่าง 8-14 ปี จำนวน 100 คน โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเป็นการให้ความรู้กับเยาวสตรีเรื่องภัยและการใช้สื่อออนไลน์อย่างปลอดภัย และด้วยเล็งเห็นว่าสถานการณ์ปัจจุบันนี้ เราอยู่กับอินเทอร์เน็ตมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ โดยมีวิทยากรจากมูลนิธิอินเทอร์เน็ตร่วมพัฒนาไทย ภายหลังการอบรมได้จัดเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวันเป็นก๋วยเตี๋ยวให้กับเด็ก ๆ จำนวน 310 คน
