Women's Development Committee

Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah, President of PPSEAWA Thailand, Ms. Sukanya Prachuabmoh, 1st VP and Women’s Development Committee Chair, along with committee members, organized an event under the “Eco-Friendly Sanitary Pads” project in collaboration with Ms. Nira Chaivivat, a grade 11 student at UWC ISAK Japan. This project aims to educate and empower by teaching girls to sew reusable sanitary pads. The objectives are to promote the use of reusable sanitary products to reduce waste, combat global warming, lower daily expenses, and contribute to environmental conservation. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3) - Good Health and Well-being, and (SDG 13) - Climate Action.

This event was made possible with the permission and support of Ms. Apinya Chompoomas, Director General of the Department of Children and Youth, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security; and Ms. Sarika Rattanapitak, Guardian of Rajvithi Home for Girls, where the activity was conducted for 30 girls. Additionally, PPSEAWA Thailand President and committee members provided a lunch consisting of noodles, BBQ pork rice, and Krispy Kreme donuts for 310 girls. Each girl also received Baby Mild liquid soap and shampoo.

นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ นายกสมาคมสตรีภาคพื้นแปซิฟิกฯ นางสาวสุกัญญา ประจวบเหมาะ อุปนายกที่ 1 และประธานฝ่ายพัฒนาสตรี พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการ จัดกิจกรรมในโครงการ “ผ้าอนามัยรักษ์โลก” ร่วมกับ นางสาวนีรา ใช่วิวัฒน์ ซึ่งกำลังเรียนมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ที่โรงเรียนนานาชาติชื่อ UWC ISAK Japan ในประเทศญี่ปุ่น จัดทำโครงการ ผ้าอนามัยรักษ์โลก เพื่อเป็นโครงงานประกอบการเรียน โดยการสอนทำผ้าอนามัยใช้ซ้ำ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อผลักดันการใช้ผ้าอนามัยแบบใช้ซ้ำ เพื่อลดปริมาณขยะนำไปสู่การลดภาวะโลกร้อนและเพื่อลดค่าใช้จ่ายในชีวิตประจำวัน และเพื่อร่วมกันรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งตรงกับ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3) คือการมีสุขภาพ และความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี และ(SDG 13) การรับมือกับ Climate Change - Climate Action ในการนี้ได้รับอนุญาตจาก ท่านอภิญญา ชมภูมาศ อธิบดีกรมกิจการเด็กและเยาวชน และนางสาริกา รัตนาพิทักษ์ ผู้ปกครองสถานสงเคราะห์เด็กหญิงบ้านราชวิถี ให้จัดกิจกรรมกับเยาวสตรี ที่สถานสงเคราะห์เด็กหญิงบ้านราชวิถี จำนวน 30 คน พร้อมกันนี้ได้นำอาหารกลางวันเป็นก๋วยเตี๋ยว ข้าวหมูแดง และขนมโดนัท Krispy Kreme มาให้เด็กๆได้รับประทาน พร้อมด้วยมอบสบู่เหลวและแชมพูให้เยาวสตรีจำนวน 310 คน
