Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah, President of PPSEAWA Thailand and Member of the Zonta International UN Committee, along with Salla Tuominen, President of Zonta International, co-signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on “Preventing and Addressing Sexual Harassment and Abuse in Sports.” The MoU was signed between the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and 41 partner organizations, including government agencies, private sector entities, civil society, and related networks. Of these, 20 sports associations are serving as pilot organizations for the initiative.

The signing ceremony was witnessed via Zoom by Pamela Morgan, Chair of the Zonta International UN Committee.

Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, presided over the event, with a report delivered by Mr. Anukul Peedkaew, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. Dr. Suwanna Silpa-archa, a distinguished member of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, also expressed a declaration of intent to prevent and resolve issues of sexual harassment and abuse in sports.

The event concluded with a panel discussion on the topic "Breaking the Silence: Ending Sexual Abuse in Sports" at the Richmond Grand Ballroom, 6th Floor, Grand Richmond Hotel, Nonthaburi.

นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ นายกสมาคม สปอท. และ Zonta International UN Committee Member และ Zonta International President Salla Tuominen ร่วมลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ ทั้งนี้ Zonta International UN Committee Chair Pamela Morgan เข้ามาร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานด้วย ผ่านระบบ Zoom Meeting เรื่อง “การป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาการล่วงละเมิดหรือคุกคามทางเพศในการกีฬา” ระหว่างกระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ (พม.) กับหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ภาคประชาสังคม และองค์กรเครือข่ายที่เกี่ยวข้อง จำนวน 41 แห่ง โดยมีสมาคมกีฬานำร่อง 20 สมาคม

ในการนี้ นายวราวุธ ศิลปอาชา รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ (รมว.พม.) เป็นประธานในพิธี นายอนุกูล ปีดแก้ว ปลัดกระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ กล่าวรายงาน และ ดร.สุวรรณา ศิลปอาชา ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิในคณะกรรมการโอลิมปิกแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ประกาศเจตนารมณ์ในการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาการล่วงละเมิดหรือคุกคามทางเพศในการกีฬา อีกทั้งมีการเสวนาในหัวข้อ “Breaking the Silence: ยุติการล่วงละเมิดทางเพศในการกีฬา” ณ ห้อง Richmond Grand Ballroom 1 ชั้น 6 โรงแรมแกรนด์ริชมอนด์ จังหวัดนนทบุรี
