UN Committee

Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah, President and UN Committee Chair of PPSEAWA Thailand, led a delegation of committee members including 3 youth committee members to participate in the 28th PPSEAWA International Conference held in Wellington, New Zealand.

The main theme of this year's conference was “Managing the Changing Climate… Planning for Managed Retreat and Resilience.” During the conference, Mrs. Chavali presented a country report on the progress and initiatives carried out by PPSEAWA Thailand, which was met with great admiration and positive feedback from the participants.

Additionally, Ms. Ratipan Panpinij, Vice Chair of the Peace Project, and Ms. Pakchanun Rerngprasertvita, Vice Chair of the UN Committee, presented their award-winning project, “Peace Begins at School.” This initiative, which provides peace education to upper primary students at two schools — Jamjan School in the Watthana District of Bangkok and Pannavit School in Bang Pa-In, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, earned them the PPSEAWA International Young Women’s Fund Award in 2023.

PPSEAWA Thailand also organized a workshop, such as crafting bracelets, earrings, keychains, and Christmas ornaments from recycled plastics, which garnered significant interest from conference participants and became one of the highlights of the event.

ในการนี้ นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ ได้ขึ้นเสนอ Country report ในนามสมาคมฯ ได้รับความชื่นชมเป็นอย่างยิ่ง

นอกจากนี้ นางสาวรติพันธ์ พันธ์พินิจ รองประธานฝ่ายสันติภาพ และนางสาวภัคชนัญ เริงประเสริฐวิทย์ รองประธานฝ่ายกรรมการสมาคมประจำองค์การสหประชาชาติ เสนอรายงานโครงการที่ได้รับรางวัล จาก PPSEAWA International for the Young Women’s Fund (awarded in 2023) ในโครงการ Peace begins at school ที่จัดให้ความรู้กับนักเรียนระดับประถมปลาย 2 โรงเรียน ได้แก่ โรงเรียนแจ่มจันทร์ เขตวัฒนา กรุงเทพมหานคร และ โรงเรียนปัณณวิชญ์ อำเภอบางปะอิน จังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา พร้อมกับจัด workshop สอนร้อยสร้อยข้อมือ ตุ้มหู พวงกุญแจ และลูกบอลตกแต่งต้นคริสต์มาสจากฝาขวดและเศษพลาสติกนำมา recycle ให้กับสมาชิก PPSEAWA นานาประเทศ ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจอย่างมาก
