On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PPSEAWA Thailand (led by the President, Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah and committee members) partnered with Thai Catholic Women's Association (led by the President, Mrs. Yupadee Siriratchakul and Vice President, Dr. Sutatip Wateetip) to launch “Women’s Health and Well-Being Program” to female inmates at the Department of Corrections, Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya. The aim of the program is to raise breast cancer awareness among female inmates by educating them on preventative measures, breast self-examination, and access to breast care via educational videos from Assoc. Prof. Kris Chatamara, founder and the director of the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer at Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.
In addition, a nurse from Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya.Hospital, Mrs. Patcharee Sagnuansak, also visited the Department of Corrections, Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya to teach female inmates how to do basic breast cancer self-examination and screening. On the day, Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah also invited program organizers (PPSEAWA Thailand and Thai Catholic Women's Association) to give moral support by visiting former inmates who took part in "SMEs Change Life" project; a project co-launched and supported by PPSEAWA Thailand and Thai Catholic Women's Association for years.
เนื่องในโอกาสเดือนแห่งการรณรงค์ Breast Cancer Awareness Event สมาคมสตรีภาคพื้นแปซิฟิกฯ ร่วมกับสมาคมสตรีไทยคาทอลิก นำโดย นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ นายกสมาคม สปอท. พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการ สปอท. และนางยุพดี สิริรัชต์กุล นายกสมาคมสตรีไทยคาทอลิก และดร.สุฑาทิพย์ วาทีทิพย์ อุปนายกสมาคมสตรีไทยคาทอลิก จัดทำโครงการ “Women’s Health and Well-Being” ให้กับผู้ต้องขังหญิงเรือนจำจังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา ในครั้งนี้ได้รับอนุเคราะห์ วิดีโอ การอธิบายสาเหตุ การป้องกัน และการรักษามะเร็งเต้านม จาก รศ.นพ. กฤษณ์ จาฏามระ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์สิริกิติ์บรมราชินีนาถ โดยได้รับความอนุเคราะห์วิทยากรจากโรงพยาบาลพระนครศรีอยุธยา คุณพยาบาลนางภัชรี สงวนศักดิ์ สอนการตรวจเต้านมด้วยตนเอง นอกจากนี้ ได้นำคณะเยี่ยมให้กำลังใจผู้ที่เคยเข้าอบรมในโครงการ “SMEs เปลี่ยนชีวิต” ที่สมาคมสตรีภาคพื้นแปซิฟิกฯ และสมาคมสตรีไทยคาทอลิก ได้ให้ความช่วยเหลือในการประกอบอาชีพ
