UN Committee

Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah, President of PPSEAWA Thailand and Chairperson of UN Committee, led the PPSEAWA Thailand delegates to the 27th PPSEAWA International Conference in Taipei, the Republic of China (ROC) Taiwan. The Conference is held every three years. At this event, Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah presented the PPSEAWA Thailand Country Report containing key projects and their impact on those in the receiving end. These include Young Children Development Project, Youth Development Project, Women Development and Rural Development Project, Advancing the Status of Women Project, Environmental Awareness & Preservation Project and Peace Project to name a few.

In addition, an exhibition was also set up to showcase PPSEAWA Thailand’s projects bringing them to life; of which were extremely well-received by PPSEAWA sisters of all member nations. Furthermore, the cultural evening performance under this year’s floral theme, Mrs. Chavali and her delegation prepared and performed the most prestigious Thai blooms named in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, namely Queen Sirikit Cattleya, Queen Sirikit Rose, Dona Queen Sirikit and Queen Sirikit Nymphaea. Not only did the performance and presentation showcase both the beauty and elegance of these flowers but also expressed our deepest gratitude to the Queen and the Thai Monarch. The show was very well-received. Also, PPSEAWA Thailand Immediate Past President Ms. Mondhiya Bhangsabhya was elected as the President of PPSEAWA International at this Conference.

นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ นายกสมาคม สปอท.และประธานฝ่ายกรรมการสมาคมประจำองค์การสหประชาชาติ เป็นหัวหน้าคณะนำคณะกรรมการและสมาชิก สปอท. ร่วมประชุมใหญ่สมาคมสตรีภาคพื้นแปซิฟิกและเอเชียอาคเนย์ระหว่างประเทศ (แพนสากล) ครั้งที่ 27 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นทุก 3 ปี โดยครั้งนี้จัดที่กรุงไทเป สาธารณรัฐจีน (ไต้หวัน) ในการนี้ ได้นำเสนอผลการดำเนินงาน (Country Report Presentation) ของ สปอท. อาทิ โครงการพัฒนาเด็กเล็ก โครงการพัฒนาเยาวชน โครงการพัฒนาสตรี โครงการพัฒนาศักยภาพสตรี โครงการพัฒนาและอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม โครงการสันติภาพ เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ได้นำนิทรรศการโครงการต่าง ๆ ไปเผยแพร่ ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจอย่างล้นหลาม พร้อมกับนำการแสดงวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งกำหนดในหัวข้อ "ดอกไม้" โดยนำดอกไม้พระนามสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ได้แก่ คัทลียาควีนสิริกิติ์ กุหลาบควีนสิริกิติ์ ดอนญ่าควีนสิริกิติ์ และบัวควีนสิริกิติ์ เพื่อเป็นการเฉลิมพระเกียรติถวายพระองค์ท่าน ได้รับคำชื่นชมจากประเทศสมาชิกเป็นอย่างมาก ในครั้งนี้ นางมณฑิยา แพ่งสภา ได้รับเลือกเป็นประธานแพนสากล
