UN Committee

Mrs. Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah, President of PPSEAWA Thailand and Chairperson of UN Committee, Ms. Amarawan Panpinij, Chairperson of Peace Project, along with Ms. Ratipan Panpinij, Peace Project Vice Chair relaunched the PPSEAWA Thailand for Peace Project Campaign Activities to commemorate the momentous UN World Peace Day (21st September) at Wat Huakoo School, Samutprakarn for a total of 158 students (ranging from Year 4 to Year 11).

With the aim of promoting peace across all differences and contributing to building a culture of peace, this year the Peace Project hosted a Talent Show at the school. This campaign aims to encourage the young / new generation to contribute to building world peace by being respectful towards each other, and towards refugees and migrants; as well as helping prevent abuse and war. Students were given the opportunity to use their creativity to express their definition of “peace” through their performances, showcasing their talent across singing, dancing and performing arts. Scholarships were awarded to the winners. PPSEAWA Thailand Committee also participated in the event.

The Peace Project has received great support from Assistant Professor Rattana Timmuang, Dean of the faculty of Communications Arts, Huachiew Chalermprakiat University and ArjarnJaiboon Yaemyim, Huachiew Chalermprakiat University Communications Arts Lecturer and Head of Cultural Studies Department who also brought in 3rdyear university student to rehearse performances of all the students who entered the Talent Show competitions.

นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ นายกสมาคมและประธานฝ่ายกรรมการสหประชาชาติ นางอัมราวัลย์ พันธ์พินิจ ประธานโครงการ และนางสาวรติพันธ์ พันธ์พินิจ รองประธาน จัดกิจกรรมเนื่องในวันสันติภาพโลก 21 กันยายน เพื่อปลูกฝังให้เยาวชนเข้าใจในการสร้างมิตรไมตรีต่อกัน การให้เกียรติต่อทุกคน ต่อผู้ลี้ภัยและผู้อพยพ เพื่อให้ทุกคนตระหนักถึงความสำคัญ การงดใช้ความรุนแรง การหยุดทำสงคราม และร่วมมือกันสร้างสันติภาพให้เกิดขึ้นทั่วโลก ให้กับนักเรียนระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ถึง มัธยมต้นจำนวน 158 คน ที่โรงเรียนวัดหัวคู้ อำเภอบางเสาธง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ โดยจะจัดกิจกรรมในรูปแบบการจัดประกวด Talent Show เป็นการเปิดเวทีให้กับเด็กมีความคิดสร้างสรรค์ได้มาแสดงความสามารถ เพื่อชิงทุนการศึกษาภายใต้โจทย์ “สันติภาพในรูปแบบของคุณคืออะไร” ในการนี้มีกรรมการไปร่วมได้แก่ นางสุภา จิระเดชดำรง โบว์ ดร.เอมอร เหล่าวัฒนา ฮารีดอสส์

ในการนี้ได้รับความร่วมมือจากคณบดีคณะนิเทศศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ โดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์รัตนา ทิมเมือง คณบดีคณะนิเทศศาสตร์ และอาจารย์ใจบุญ แย้มยิ้ม อาจารย์ประจำคณะนิเทศศาสตร์และหัวหน้าแผนกวัฒนธรรมศึกษา นำนักศึกษาศิลปะการแสดงปี 3 เป็นพี่เลี้ยงและซ้อมการแสดงให้กับนักเรียนทุกกลุ่ม
