The Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign at the Department of Corrections, Pathum Thani

On the 19th of October 2018, Ms. Chavali Osathanugrah, President of PPSEAWA Thailand, Chairperson of UN Committee alongside Ms. Lantip Dvadasin, Chairperson of Women's Empowerment Project together with the board Committee hosted Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign at the Department of Corrections, Patoomtani to raise more awareness among a total of 100 female inmates on the self examinating and preventive measurement for breast cancer. In addition to increasing both awareness and understanding of breast cancer behind bars, with the support of Assoc.Prof. Kris Chatamra, sending 2 expert nurses to give full presentation and offered basic breast cancer screening to female inmates who were at risk. Care packages were also offered to all 100 female inmates who participated in the campaign. This Breast Cancer Awareness event was launched under the project of "Women’s Health and Well-Being" which aims to promote positive physical, mental health and well-being of women.

นางชวาลี โอสถานุเคราะห์ นายกสมาคมฯ และประธานฝ่ายกรรมการสหประชาชาติ และคุณลานทิพย์ ทวาทศิน ประธานฝ่ายพัฒนาศักยภาพสตรี จัดทำโครงการ “Women’s Health and Well-Being” เพื่อให้ผู้หญิงมีสุขภาพดีและมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น โดยจัดกิจกรรม Breast Cancer Awareness Event “สอนการตรวจเต้านมด้วยตัวเองและการป้องกัน” ให้กับผู้ต้องขังหญิงเรือนจำจังหวัดปทุมธานี จำนวน 100 คน นอกจากนี้ ได้ตรวจเต้านมให้สำหรับกลุ่มเสี่ยง ที่เรือนจำจังหวัดปทุมธานี โดยได้รับความอนุเคราะห์วิทยากรจาก รศ.นพ. กฤษณ์ จาฏามระ พร้อมกับมอบของใช้ที่จำเป็นให้กับผู้ต้องขังหญิงทุกคน
